The Governors are Flipping the Script.

Andrew Welsh-Huggins has written a great article on Huffington Post. We need to take it to heart, and realize that the "wounds" will heal. We may need some magic, but we must become one big happy family again. Remember the Texas debate? Remember that great feeling of hope and unity?
We must recapture that. We can recapture that. Yes we can.
Eleven of the nation's governors will have to perform some political sleight of hand...
After months of supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton, they will have to convince voters they're just as happy with her rival.
It has been done before. Many, many times.
"That's politics," said Matt DeCample, a spokesman for Beebe, the Arkansas governor. "He will have no qualms about being able to confidently support whoever the nominee is and to do so without hesitation."
Yes, it is difficult to see cleary past the ruckus when the blood is boiling in the eyes. No, it is not impossible or unprecedented. In fact, it seems very likey, in today's non-stop news cycle culture, that the healing will be accomplished before we know it. We will wake up one morning and the script will be flipped.
Michael Barley, spokesman for the Pennsylvania GOP:
"It's going to be very difficult for him to pivot now and support a candidate that he was actively campaigning against," he said, referring to Rendell.
Wanna bet? said Rendell.
"I don't mean to sound lacking in humility, but if they try to make something out of that, I'll kill them," Rendell said. "I'll turn it so they'll wish they never brought it up."
I bet we are pleasantly surprised. I see Hillary Clinton and her supporters bringing their intensity and strength to the November election. I see past the bruised feelings on both sides. I see us embracing and marching together into a hopeful future for our country.
Why? Simple. John McCain, George W. Bush, and the corporate pirates they represent DEMAND it. We have no choice but to do everything we possibly can to get our nation back, and America will have a no-brainer when they step into the booth.
Strickland said voters don't care whether he switches from one candidate to another. He said people are more interested in health care, education and ending the Iraq war so troops can come home.
"All of the political arguments and the back and forth regarding who may have said what about some other person, I think will be viewed as a political argument and irrelevant to the lives of most Ohioans," Strickland said.
Whether Ohio, or Florida, or Pennsylvania, or your state, the issues will soon be the guiding force. Rep. Robert Wexler said as much last night on Larry King. The issues will heal the scratches, which were only on the surface anyway. The Governors who supported Hillary Clinton know this, and we should too. We can flip the script, no matter what was said and done during the primary.
Yes we can.
